Glasgow Dentists - Flossing
There may be minor bleeding from gums after flossing and the gums may sore for 5 – 6 days. Bleeding and soreness disappears as soon as plaque is broken and bacteria are removed. Nevertheless if bleeding continues, then you should consult your Glasgow dentist. Either your method of flossing is incorrect or your gums and teeth need a cleaning done by your Glasgow dentist.
If you do not get accustomed to the use of floss, then you should use either floss holder or some interdental cleaning aid.
Interdental cleaning aids are either small wood sticks or small interdental toothbrushes. These can remove the plaque present in between the teeth. You can learn the use of interdental aids from your Glasgow dentist or hygienist.
